Where She Shines

Jenny is a skilled performance improvement leader and project manager with a strong track record of training and coaching organizations toward progress and advancement in Lean, Six Sigma, safety, supply chain, workforce, sustainability, growth, and technology. A results-driven leader, Jenny is skilled in building teams to increase productivity and educating and empowering others to achieve accountability and accomplish goals. She has held progressive leadership roles in the healthcare industry and has implemented process improvement strategies across the hospital, including sterile processing, surgery, emergency departments, and medical units.

Professional Experience

Most recently, Jenny was Manager, Lean Improvements, Sterile Processing, and Interim Supply Chain at Hospital Sisters Health System (HSHS) St. Mary’s Hospital in Decatur, IL where she trained Change Leaders for the Central Illinois Division. A Master Black Belt, she managed the deployment strategy for process improvement, and also deployed a responsiveness plan in sterile processing and surgery departments, achieving greater than 97% accuracy in instrument trays and decreasing IUSS from greater than 28% to a sustained rate of less than 4%. Previously at HSHS, Jenny was a Process Improvement Specialist, deploying Lean Six Sigma in a 25-bed critical access hospital and facilitating numerous projects, including one that increased the amount of Almost Home referrals, resulting in $170K in revenue over four months. Additionally, Jenny facilitated and led the Lean Executive Council for HSHS St. Joseph’s Hospital, providing project prioritization assistance and guidance on Lean process improvement development. She has held several previous business development, business improvement, and Master Black Belt roles in which she collaborated with teams to implement initiatives that improve efficiency.

Jenny earned a Master of Business Administration and Bachelor of Science from Southern Illinois University. She is a Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt (LSSMBB) and a TeamSTEPPS Master Trainer, with additional training from the Occupation Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).
